Wisconsin Department of Health Services officials say the state saw more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday. In fact 1,348 new cases were reported or about 11 percent of 12,266 test results that came back. The total number of cases since the pandemic began now stands at 91,304 with 10,509 active cases. The state also reported 10 more deaths due to the coronavirus raising the death toll to 1,220. New cases of COVID were reported in 65 of the state’s 72 counties yesterday.
Winnebago County reported 81 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday putting its total cases at 2,100 with 22 deaths. Fond du Lac County had 18 new cases giving it 1,490 total cases with 12 deaths. Forty-two new cases were reported in Dodge County bringing its total number of cases to 1,459 with 8 deaths. Six new cases in Green Lake County give it 146 total cases. One new case in Marquette County puts its total cases at 147 with 1 death. Waupaca County Public Health reported 8 new cases Tuesday giving it 835 cases with 18 deaths. Four new cases were recorded in Waushara County putting its total cases since the health crisis began at 246 with 2 deaths.
