The state’s Department of Health Services says Wisconsin set a new record for the number of new daily cases of COVID-19 Thursday with 1,547 new cases. That represented 17.5 percent of the 8,822 test results the state got back. In addition there were 10 more deaths putting the total since the outbreak began at 1,193 deaths. Wisconsin has nearly 85,000 total cases since early February with 84,881 and still has 8,836 active cases or 10.4 percent of all cases.
Winnebago County reported 30 new COVID-19 cases Thursday putting its total cases at 1,778 cases with 22 deaths. Dodge County recorded 22 new cases giving it 1,348 cases and also had 1 new death raising that toll to 7 people. Fond du Lac County had 37 new cases raising its total cases to 1,357 cases along with 12 deaths. One new case was reported in Green Lake County, which has had 115 cases. Marquette County reported 3 new cases and now has 121 total cases and 1 death. There were 6 new cases in Waupaca County giving it 802 total cases and 18 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department says it had 13 new cases yesterday and has had 223 cases and 2 deaths since the health crisis began.
