Ripon Woman Sentenced For Drunken Driving Injury Accident

A 34-year-old Ripon woman that drove drunk and rolled her vehicle over on Fond du Lac County Highway E injuring herself and two passengers has been sentenced to a year in jail. Majesta Lauzon was in court last Friday where she pleaded guilty to an OWI causing injury charge. A similar charge was read into the record and dismissed. She and two passengers were injured when her 2003 Pontiac Grand AM failed to negotiate a curve and went off County Highway E south of Cork Street Road in the Town of Ripon on April 19th of last year. The car rolled over and came to rest on its roof. Fond du Lac County Judge Richard Nuss also ordered the installation of an ignition interlock device in her vehicle and her driver’s license was taken away, both for 33 months. The jail time is with work release privileges.
