Bond was set at $100,000 cash this week for a 26-year-old Ripon man suspected of supplying a man with the methamphetamine that led to the man’s overdose death. David Bresser made an initial appearance in Fond du Lac County court Monday on a first degree reckless homicide charge. The 34-year-old victim’s body was recovered from the Fond du Lac River near a bridge on April 4th. According to the criminal complaint the County Medical Examiner’s Office listed the cause of death as “methamphetamine toxicity” with the manner of death listed as “accident.” Fond du Lac Police investigators were able to establish a link between the victim and Bresser through Facebook Messenger messages. Bresser allegedly told investigators he gave the victim “like $20 worth” of meth, but said he didn’t give him enough to overdose. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 27th.
