Nate Zimdars Runs For State Assembly
19 August 2020 News
Nate Zimdars says while attending an FFA Leadership Conference at the Nation’s Capital about 10 years ago a spark was lit that one day would get him to run for office. “I began to feel that pull towards politics. I felt that if I wanted to make a positive change in people’s lives that politics was one of the best ways to do that because regardless of how you feel about politics it absolutely impacts just about everything that we do.” The Ripon man is running for the 41st State Assembly District seat as a Democrat. He currently works the production line at Saputo Cheese in Waupun and is a member of the Ripon Area School Board. The three priority issues for him are Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure including Broadband access, and Healthcare. He says the coronavirus will be impacting a lot of decisions made in both federal and state politics. He will face Republican candidate Alex Dallman in the November 3rd election.
