One of them was in the area of China where the initial outbreak occurred last December or January. Ripon Community COVID-19 Task Force member Jeff Puhlmann-Becker says we still don’t know that much about the virus and how it works if you’ve already had it. “There just doesn’t seem to be a consensus whether you’re safe from getting it and if you are for how long is it 3 months, 6 months, lifetime nobody seems to know because it hasn’t been around long enough to know anything.”  He says they are big questions in terms of tackling the virus and getting us to a place that is safe for all of us.

FDL County GOP Chairman On RNC

The chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County says COVID-19 forced Republican National Convention organizers to do things differently than past conventions, but for the most part they worked. Rohn Bishop attended the last two conventions as a delegate, but wasn’t able to attend this year’s RNC in Charlotte, North Carolina. He says without the usual crowds speeches were more to the point. “The speeches can be a little bit more scripted the crowd you don’t have audiences you are speaking to so the speeches don’t run over because of the crowd cheering or not cheering or whatever.” Bishop did like some of the outdoors venues used for speeches like Fort McHenry where Mike Pence gave his acceptance speech. On the other hand Bishop says he did miss the usual roll call for nominations.
