State health officials reported 11 more deaths from COVID-19 Thursday and 878 more cases. The death toll since the pandemic began is at 1,111 people. Meanwhile the new cases raise that total to 73,138. The new cases were 8 percent of the 10,791 results that came back. It’s been 16 days since the state has reported less than a 5 percent increase in daily cases of the coronavirus. The state also reports that of the more than 73,000 cases, 7,529 or 10.3 percent are still active.
COVID-19 cases in Winnebago County continue to mount with 31 new cases Thursday giving the county 1,433 total cases with 21 deaths. Nineteen new cases were reported in Dodge County where there have been 1,076 cases and 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County recorded 33 new cases yesterday giving it 1,051 cases with 10 deaths. Green Lake County now has 88 cases with 1 new case reported. Marquette County also had 1 new case giving it 86 cases with 1 death. Waupaca County reported 19 new cases bringing its total cases to 656 cases with 17 deaths. The Waushara County Health Department says it had no new cases yesterday, but has reported 146 total cases and 1 death since the health crisis began.
