State health officials got fewer than 5,000 COVID-19 test results back for a second straight day. Of those 392 or 8 percent tested positive for the virus. Despite the lower number of cases Monday, new cases were reported in 52 of the state’s 72 counties. For a second straight day there were also no new deaths reported so the death toll since the outbreak began stands at 1,081.  Since early February 70,854 state residents have tested positive for the virus. There are still 7,445 active cases.

Ten new COVID-19 cases were reported in Winnebago County Monday, which has had a total of 1,371 cases with 20 deaths. Dodge County reported 33 new cases bringing its total cases to 1,034 with 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County has reported 95 new cases since last Friday giving it 974 cases with 9 deaths. The high number of recent cases has moved Fond du Lac County back to Phase 1 of its Safe Restart program. Seven new cases in Green Lake County puts its total cases at 83.  No change in Marquette County where there have been 82 COVID cases and 1 death.  Waupaca County Public Health Services is reporting 1 new death raising its death toll from the pandemic to 17 with a total of 604 cases. Two new cases were reported in Waushara County, which has had 138 total cases and 1 death since the health crisis began.
