COVID 19 Report Monday

11 August 2020 News

State health officials say 507 new COVID-19 cases were reported Monday or 6.2 percent of the 8,167 test results that came back. Ideally the state would like to see the percentage of positive test results below 5 percent and if it is at 3 percent daily that’s an indication the coronavirus spread is coming under control. Twice last week it was below 5 percent. Since the first case in February 61,106 residents in Wisconsin have tested positive for the virus with 9,383 active cases. The state death toll due to the pandemic is at 998 with one new death reported yesterday.

Winnebago County health officials reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 Monday bringing their total to 1,193 cases with 18 deaths. Dodge County’s total cases are at 835 cases which includes numbers for the community and the state prisons in the county. It also has had 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County has reported 50 new cases since last Friday giving it 679 cases of the coronavirus with 7 deaths. No new cases were reported in Green Lake County, which has had 56 cases. Marquette County remained at 80 cases with 1 death.  Waupaca County is now reporting 475 cases with 15 deaths and Waushara County has reported 5 new cases since last Friday giving it a total of 118 cases with 1 death since the health crisis began.
