Swimmers Itch Reported In Norwegian Bay

Green Lake County Public Health officials say swimmer’s itch has been reported in Norwegian Bay. Symptoms include; tingling, burning or itching of the skin, small reddish pimples, and small blisters. The CDC recommends towel drying or showering immediately after you leave the water. Avoid swimming in areas where swimmer’s itch is a problem, and marshy areas where snails are commonly found. It’s also recommended reporting swimmer’s itch to your local health department.
