The Green Bay Packers are making more changes for the upcoming season.  The team sent an email Wednesday night- saying it’s suspending the Brown County ticket drawing.  For those that have paid, the Packers say you will receive an automatic refund within 30 days.  The Packers recently announced there will be significantly reduced capacity at Lambeau Field this season. The goal is to keep players, fans and staff safe during the pandemic.

Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst says the group that travels to Florida on Thursday for the resumption of the season at Walt Disney World likely won’t include the team’s entire 35-person traveling party.  The Bucks closed their practice facility in Milwaukee after receiving results of their Friday coronavirus testing. Horst declined to say whether the positive test came from a Bucks player or another member of the traveling party.  The Bucks owned an NBA-leading 53-12 record when play was halted in mid-March due to the pandemic. They return to action July 31 against the Boston Celtics.

The Ivy League on Wednesday became the first Division I conference to say it will not play sports this fall because of the coronavirus pandemic, a person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press. The league left open the possibility of moving some seasons to the spring if the outbreak is better controlled by then.  The decision was described to the AP by a person speaking on the condition of anonymity in advance of the official announcement.  Although the coalition of eight academically elite schools does not grant athletic scholarships or compete for an NCAA football championship, the move could have ripple effects throughout the big business of college sports. Football players in the Power Five conferences have already begun workouts for a season that starts on Aug. 29, even as their schools weigh whether to open their campuses to students or continue classes remotely.  The Ivy decision affects not just football but everything before Jan. 1, including soccer, field hockey, volleyball and cross country, as well as the nonconference portion of the basketball season.

The Brewers made it 5-for-5 in terms of signing their Draft picks when they finalized a deal with first-rounder Garrett Mitchell on Wednesday.  Mitchell, an outfielder from UCLA, went to Milwaukee with the 20th overall pick. The Brewers don’t disclose contractual terms, but a source said Mitchell signed for slot value at that selection, which was $3,242,900.
