FDL County Executive Appeals To County Residents To Wear Face Masks

31 July 2020 News

Fond du Lac County Executive Al Buechel supports Governor Evers order mandating the use of face masks indoors and in enclosed spaces away from home as well as outside where social distancing isn’t possible. Buechel is the longest serving county executive in the state and says he knows the residents of the county will do the right thing. “In my several decades of service to Fond du Lac County one thing I’ve known from the beginning is how great the people of Fond du Lac County area and how they care for one another and they always step forward in a crisis to help one another whether it be storms or floods or any circumstances. Well we have a crisis like none of us has seen before.” He says it shouldn’t be about whether the order is going to be enforced. He says it should be about whether people are going to do the right thing and wear a mask. He urges residents to wear the mask because it will affect others and possibly yourself.  County Public Health Officer Kim Mueller says when it comes to enforcement people can call the health department at 920-929-3085 extension #6.
