State health officials say with 1,117 people testing positive for COVID-19 Tuesday Wisconsin broke its daily record for the coronavirus. Those results were 7.7 percent of the 14,488 tests that came back yesterday. Of the state’s 72 counties, 58 reported an increase in positive tests or deaths. Fourteen new deaths were reported bringing the death total since the outbreak began to 859. Since early February 44,135 Wisconsin residents have tested positive for COVID-19, and another 750,562 have tested negative.

Winnebago County reported another dozen new COVID-19 cases Tuesday putting its totals at 876 cases and 14 deaths. Dodge County had 7 new cases giving it 577 cases and 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County has reported 458 cases and 6 deaths, and the county remains in Phase 2 of its Safe Restart plan. One new case brings Green Lake County’s total coronavirus cases to 48, and Marquette County had no new cases remaining at 58 cases with 1 death.  Waupaca County now has a total of 245 cases with 14 deaths, and Waushara County reported 2 new cases giving it a total of 57 cases since the pandemic began.
