State health officials reported a record 754 confirmed COVID-19 cases Thursday. That surpasses the previous record of 738 cases on July 4th. The new cases made up 5.7 percent of the 13,158 test results that were returned yesterday. New cases were reported in 58 of the state’s 72 counties. Two more people died of the coronavirus bringing that total since the outbreak began in the state to 809.
Winnebago County had a spike of 21 new COVID-19 cases reported Thursday bringing its totals to 747 cases and 13 deaths. Dodge County had 4 new cases putting its totals at 492 cases with 5 deaths. Thirteen new COVID-19 cases were reported in Fond du Lac County bringing its totals to 367 cases and 6 deaths. Green Lake County remained at 41 cases, and Marquette County had 9 new cases giving it 44 cases and 1 death. Waupaca County reported 3 new cases yesterday bringing its cases to 159 with 10 deaths. Two new cases of the pandemic were reported in Waushara County giving it 39 total cases.
