Monday saw the number of new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin fall to 494, the first time in almost a week the number of new cases reported in a day has been below 500. But the number of test results that came back was also lower at 6,621 results so the new cases represented 7.46 percent of the results. Positive cases were reported in 43 of the state’s 72 counties. Meanwhile the death toll remained at 820. Since the outbreak began 36,942 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Wisconsin.
Winnebago County reported 6 new COVID-19 cases yesterday bringing its totals to 777 cases and 13 deaths. Eight new cases were reported in Dodge County putting its totals at 523 cases and 5 deaths. Fond du Lac County surpassed the 400 mark with 6 new cases giving it 402 cases and 6 deaths. Green Lake County held steady at 43 cases and Marquette County had 4 new cases putting its totals at 53 cases with 1 death. Fourteen new cases were reported in Waupaca County which has had 189 cases and also has had 12 deaths, and Waushara County recorded 2 new cases giving it a total of 46 cases of the pandemic.
