Child Dies After Being Hit By Vehicle In FDL Park

A 5-year-old boy died Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle in Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park West. Police and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the park at 8:48 last evening to a parking lot north of the boat launch area. Officers responding to the scene began life saving measures and a Flight for Life helicopter was requested. When Fond du Lac paramedics arrived they continued life saving measures and took the child to St. Agnes Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The accident remains under investigation.
