Amber Alert Issued For Missing Baraboo Girl

There was a tragic end for the 10-year-old Baraboo girl that was the subject of an Amber Alert. Baraboo Police say a search for Kodie Dutcher resulted in finding her body in a farm field about 11 o’clock Tuesday morning. The cause of her death is under investigation, but when the alert was issued it was suspected she had taken an unknown amount of pills and was suicidal. Police say she left a note to her mother that said, “Mom, I love you but I Can’t Do It. Bye.” The Amber Alert was cancelled shortly after the discovery of her body.

An Amber Alert for a missing 10-year-old Baraboo girl has been issued. Kodie Dutcher was last seen about 4 pm Monday afternoon in the 1100 block of 12th Street in the City of Baraboo prior to going missing. Officials say she may have taken an unknown of amount of pills and may have been suicidal. She was believed to be traveling on foot. A picture of her and physical description were issued as part of the alert. A phone number for the Baraboo Police Department was also included in the alert 608-963-5622.
