FDL River Drowning

A 37-year-old Fond du Lac man drowned in the Fond du Lac River Thursday afternoon. Police and Fire and Rescue responded to a call just before 6 pm about a man who was trying to cross the river near the Johnson Street Bridge and got swept under the water. He was located about an hour later down river in critical condition and was taken to St. Agnes Hospital where he died. A police drone and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Dive Team were used during the search for the victim. A name has not been released yet.
