Oshkosh Police Officer Cleared In Shooting

12 May 2020 News

(Oshkosh Police Officer Michael Wissink)

Oshkosh West High School Resource Officer Michael Wissink won’t be standing charges for shooting the student who stabbed him in his office at the school last December. Following an investigation into the shooting the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office concluded the shooting of 17-year-old Grant Fuhrman was a justifiable use of force. Fuhrman stabbed Wissink several times with a barbecue fork thinking Wissink wouldn’t fight back, but Wissink shot and wounded Fuhrman stopping the attack.
