Wisconsin set a new high Thursday for the number of COVID-19 test results that came back in a single day at 10,626. Of that 4.82 percent or 522 tested positive for the coronavirus bringing the total during the pandemic to 16,974. Eleven more deaths were also reported bringing that total to 550. In other state news connected to the virus the Wisconsin State Fair in August has been cancelled. It’s the first time in 75 years and only the 6th time in the long history of the fair that it has been cancelled.

Winnebago County moved past 200 COVID-19 cases Thursday with 6 new cases bringing its total to 205 with 3 deaths. Fond du Lac County could move past 200 this weekend it reported 7 new cases bringing its total to 192 with 5 deaths. Dodge County had 6 new cases and now has 172 with 1 death. Green Lake County now has 16 cases while Marquette County remains at 3 cases with 1 death. Waupaca County has 27 cases and 1 death and Waushara County 8 cases.
