Wisconsin Department of Health Services officials say the number of COVID-19 cases in the state increased by 224 Sunday to a total of 5,911. But that’s down from the 331 reported Saturday. The death toll increased by six to 272 as testing for the virus ramped up. Hospitalizations increased to 1,397 and test results for 59,235 have come back negative for the new coronavirus.
Fond du Lac County has reported 69 cases and 3 deaths from the virus. Dodge County has had 29 cases and one death, Green Lake County one case, Marquette County 3 cases and one death, Waupaca County 7 cases and one death, Waushara County 2 cases, and Winnebago County has recorded 48 cases of the virus and one death.
