State Department of Health Services officials reported an increase of nearly 200 COVID-19 cases yesterday bringing the total to 1,550 who have tested positive and 8 more deaths bringing the death toll to 24 across the state. Locally Fond du Lac County has reported a total of 28 cases, with 7 active cases, 19 have recovered, and there have been 2 deaths. Dodge County has reported 13 cases with 241 testing negative. Marquette County has reported 2 cases, Waupaca County 2 cases with 1 death, and Winnebago County has had 13 people test positive for the virus. The 199 news cases reported across the state Wednesday is the fastest one-day rise since the outbreak began.
