Even though they’ve suffered their own hardships during the pandemic area businesses are donating what they can including hand sanitizer, disposable gloves and face masks and more to law enforcement departments, fire departments, and other agencies. The Ripon Police Department has received donations from Alliance Laundry Systems, Fusion Heating & Cooling, the Oshkosh Fleet Farm Store, O’Reilly Auto Sales and individuals. The Ripon Area Fire District got a donation of hand sanitizer from Alliance Laundry Systems. The Markesan Police Department got donations form Webster’s Marketplace, the Markesan School District, the Markesan Scope Group, Markesan Baseball Club, Northern Chill Bottled Water Company, and individual families. Hendrik’s Family Distillery and Pure Class Vodka gave some of the hand sanitizer it now makes to the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department and the Culver’s in Ripon gave free meals to health care workers.
