The 28-year-old Oshkosh man suspected of murdering a retired Oshkosh Police Captain entered a pair of not guilty pleas when he was arraigned in Winnebago County court Monday. Ian Suzuki is charged with first degree intentional homicide and battery. Charges against him stem from the stabbing death of 67-year-old Jay Puestohl on February 2nd. Suzuki was a guest in his mother’s home and had a history of mental health issues. When Puestohl tried to kick him out of the home the two got into a fight. Suzuki went to the kitchen and got a knife and allegedly stabbed Puestohl in the neck. Suzuki will be back in court on May 4th.
