COVID-19’s grip on the country continues to have an impact on the Sports World. Officials with the Kentucky Derby announced the event was postponed until September marking the first time that has happened since World War II. The Major League Baseball season will start later than first thought. Officials are now looking at a mid-May start at the earliest. The NFL announce Monday it will be holding the draft in Las Vegas as scheduled, but is cancelling public events scheduled around it.

The Green Bay Packers Monday signed offensive lineman Rick Wagner. The right tackle spent four seasons in Baltimore and the last three in Detroit. He played college football for the UW Badgers and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 draft by the Baltimore Ravens. The 30-year-old signed a two-year deal worth $11 million. The move likely means free agent right tackle Bryan Bulaga is gone. Bulaga spent nine seasons with the Packers playing in 115 games.

Free agent tight end Jimmy Graham has signed a two-year deal worth $16 million with the Chicago Bears. Graham was released by the Packers after two seasons with team. With Green Bay he caught 93 passes and scored five touchdowns.
