Marquette’s Markus Howard is a consensus first-team All-American. He was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches’ All-American first team on Tuesday. Howard was previously honored by the Sporting News, Associated Press and United States Basketball Writers Association. He is just the fourth consensus All-American at Marquette, joining Dwyane Wade, Butch Lee and Dean Meminger. Howard led the nation in scoring this past season, averaging 27.8 points a game.

Hall of Fame Quarterback Joe Montana says the New England Patriots made a mistake by letting Quarterback Tom Brady get away. He told USA Today Sports, “I don’t know what is going on inside of there but someone made a mistake.” Montana’s best years were with the San Francisco 49ers and he concluded his career with the Kansas City Chiefs.  Montana was traded by San Francisco while Brady signed as a free agent with Tampa Bay.  Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots. With incentives Brady’s contract with the Buccaneers could be worth $60 million over two years.
