The Milwaukee Bucks announced yesterday that forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss two games due to a knee injury. The team says an MRI was done showing a sprain on the left knee. Giannis will miss the remaining two games of their current road trip. His status for the game with the Boston Celtics Thursday will be announced later this week. Giannis in 57 starts this season has averaged 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in nearly 31 minutes per game.
Without Giannis Sunday the Bucks lost to the Phoenix Suns 140 to 131. Devin Booker led the Suns with 36 points while Khris Middleton paced the bucks with 39 points and Eric Bledsoe had 28. The Bucks are at Denver tonight.
The 24th ranked Wisconsin Badgers beat Indiana Saturday 60 to 56 and will share the Big Ten title with Maryland which beat Michigan State Sunday 83 to 70. Wisconsin will be seeded Number 1 when the Big Ten Tournament starts Wednesday in Indianapolis. The Badgers will play at 11 am Friday morning taking on the winner of Rutgers versus Michigan game.
The Milwaukee Brewers split in split squad action Sunday they scored five times in the eighth inning to defeat the Angels 7 to 3, but got shelled by the Oakland A’s 11 to 3. They play the Mariners in Maryvale tonight. First pitch is at 9:05 this evening on 98.3 FM.
