GREEN BAY (WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame announced the recipients of the Bob Harlan Leadership Award and the Bart and Cherry Starr Recognition Award.

Hall of Fame officials say founder and former owner of the Milwaukee Brewers, Bud Selig and backup Packers quarterback Zeke Bratkowski, will receive the awards at its annual banquet on Saturday, April 18 in the Lambeau Field Atrium.  Selig will receive the Bob Harlan Leadership Award for his exceptional leadership qualities. A lifelong baseball fan and Milwaukee native, Selig helped bring professional baseball back to Milwaukee in 1970, and he led the Brewers as president and chairman until his appointment as Commissioner in 1998.  Selig became a member of the Packers board of directors in 1990 and now serves as an emeritus director. The late Bratkowski, who passed away in November, will be honored with the Bart and Cherry Starr Award for exemplifying outstanding character and leadership in his field of expertise, while consistently demonstrating a personal conviction and commitment to the Green Bay Packers. According to the team, Bratkowski forged a close friendship with former Packers starting quarterback Bart Starr and it enabled the two to put the team first and be of like mind in their pregame preparation.

In the NBA tonight, the Bucks are on the road playing the Lakers. The Bucks at 53-9 have the best record in the league and lead Toronto by nine games in the Eastern Conference.  The Lakers are 47-13 and lead the Clippers by five games and Denver by six in the Western Conference.

In Cactus League Baseball on Thursday the Brewers beat the Reds 6-4.  Starter Freddie Peralta gave up three runs on two hits in 2.2 innings.  Reliever Jake Faria pitched one inning and picked up his first win and is 1-0.  Jesus Castillo pitched two innings and recorded his first save. The Brewers host the Giants today at Maryvale as Christian Yelich is tentatively scheduled for his spring training debut. The first pitch is at 3:05 CST.
