The NFL won’t be delaying next month’s draft. NFL Commissioner Roger Godell sent a memo to all teams outlining the decision. The draft is set for April 23rd through April 25th. Teams are being asked to conduct the draft operations outside of team facilities, and with a limited number of people. The Packers draft room usually consists of the General Manager, the Head Coach, top personnel men, scouts, and medical personnel. The league says it will be ready to adjust to changing circumstances in the next several weeks.
The University of Wisconsin is pushing back the deadline for fans to renew their football season tickets for the upcoming 2020 season. Season ticket invoices and payment was originally due on April 20th. That deadline has been pushed back to May 11th. May 11th will also be the priority deadline for single-game ticket requests, including the Wisconsin versus Notre Dame game at Lambeau Field on October 3rd. Earlier this month, the Green Bay Packers pushed back their deadline to June 1st from March 31st.
Legendary Harlem Globetrotters player Fred “Curly” Neal has died. He was 77-years-old. Neal played in more than 6,000 games with the team from 1963 to 1985.
New Orleans Saint Quarterback Drew Brees and his wife Brittany have pledged to donate $5 million to provide over 10,000 meals a day in the state of Louisiana.
