Under the plan, which would require voter-approved capital funding spread out over the coming decades, the number of schools would be reduced from 20 to 14. Some schools would be closed, some would be consolidated, and two new schools would be built. According to a facilities study simply updating the schools would cost more than $115 million. The updating of the schools would be done over the next 10 to 20 years.

Congressman Grothman Tours The Wall

Congressman Glenn Grothman says things have improved along the Arizona/Mexico border where a new 30-foot high section of wall was built to keep out illegal immigrants. The federal lawmaker from Glenbeulah recently visited that area. “I looked at about 12 miles of wall that has been built in Arizona. If you look on line you can find people getting over that wall, but it is very difficult.  All the border patrol agents I talked to, all the local law enforcement were very happy with it.” He says one of the biggest problems is children being used as drug mules carrying drugs over the border for the cartels. He says the cartels use kids because they know if they are minors we will ship them back if their caught.
