Governor Evers Safer At Home Order
24 March 2020 News
Governor Tony Evers issued his 15-page executive order known as “Safer at Home” Tuesday morning that closes all “non-essential” businesses and prohibits all “non-essential” travel. The order spells out and defines both. It goes into effect Wednesday morning and is in effect until 8 am on Friday, April 24th. Many of the essential businesses are businesses that were open, but limited prior to the order for example bars and restaurants can remain open, but only can provide carry-out and delivery. Many of the closures also remain the same for instance schools, libraries, salons and spas, but places for public amusement like amusement parks, movie and other theaters, bowling alleys, and museums are also closed. Travel exceptions and prohibitions are also listed in the order.
