Duplex Fire In FDL

Fond du Lac firefighters responded to a house fire at 241 North Military Road early Thursday morning. When they arrived fire crews encountered heavy fire conditions. The blaze caused extensive damage to a two-story wood framed duplex. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says the duplex was unoccupied and the homeowner told him no one was currently living in the duplex. No one was injured putting out the fire. The fire department and Fond du Lac Police Department are investigating the cause of the fire. The time of the fire call was 2:55 am.
