Monday Matinees at the library!

Tuesdays, March 3 & March 24 | 11:30 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. | Retro-gaming (for adults young at heart!)
Get out of the house and get moving to some classic beats during a fast-moving game of Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) on the big screen! Mario Kart and Mario Party will also be available to play simultaneously on a second big screen. Join in on some old-school fun at the library on Tuesdays, March 3 and 24 from 11:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.!
Sunday, March 8 | 1:00 P.M. | Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (for adults and teens 13+)
Newcomers and experienced gamers embrace the fusion of gaming and role playing in this fun, dynamic experience that meets on the second Sunday of the month at 1 P.M. For ages 13-adult. Younger participants welcome if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Wednesday, March 11 | 6:30 P.M. | Babies, Birth & Beyond: Parenting Support Group
Ripon Public Library, in partnership with Joyful Birth Services and Advanced Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, is proud to host Babies, Birth & Beyond: a parenting support group. Babies, Birth & Beyond aims to create a safe, encouraging environment for caregivers of children of all ages, where they can explore a variety of parenting techniques, learn to engage with their children, and find support from their peers. A new parenting topic will be explored each month, with a dedicated time for Q&A and discussion. Children welcome. Learn and grow with us at the library on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 P.M.:

Your choice of a maternity care provider and birth setting can affect the kind of care you receive, the choices and options you will have during labor and birth, and the amount of involvement you have in decisions regarding your care. Take time with us to learn about how different options can help you have a safe and satisfying birth experience.

April 8: Books are Baby Brain Builders
Tuesday, March 17 | 6:00 P.M. | Storytelling Games – Adult Game Night (Ages 16+)
Get your game face on and enjoy modern board games at the library! This month, we are featuring Call to Adventure, a character-driven dice-rolling game. A major mechanic of this game is its storytelling, which enables players to act as a hero whose destiny players control through their decisions in the game. Snake Oil, Dixit, and Story Cubes are other games that feature this game mechanic and will also be available to play. Adult Game Night meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month.
New to gaming or need something different to play? Be sure to check out the library’s new Modern Board Game collection. Patrons 13 and older can check out up to two games on their library card for two weeks. There is a diverse selection of award-winning games to enjoy!
Thursday, March 19 | 6:00 P.M. | Color Burst Wine Glasses – Pinterest Adult Craft Hour (Ages 16+)
Don’t miss out on the first Adult Crafting Hour of the Spring season on Thursday, March 19 at 6:00 P.M. Let your creative expression flow as you decorate a wine glass with hand-painted designs. Extra fine tip paint pens in a wide assortment of colors will be available for intricate designing. Wine glasses provided. Registration required. Call 748-6160 or stop by the library to sign up for this event. Pinterest Adult Crafting Hour is a seasonal event with a Spring Series that runs March-May and a Fall Series that runs September-November on Thursdays at 6:00 P.M.:

Wednesday, March 25 | 5:30 P.M. | One-shot RPG Adventures (Ages 13+)
Explore a new one-shot RPG adventure with pre-made characters on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 5:30 P.M. at the library! This month’s featured game is Feng Shui, a Hong Kong Kung Fu adventure.
Newcomers and experienced gamers are invited to join in on this fun experience. Drop-ins are welcome! Ages 13-adult or younger if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Saturday, March 28 | Escape Room: Alice in Wonderland
Don’t be late for this very important date! Solve the clues and make it to the Mad Hatter’s tea party before the clock runs out at this Alice in Wonderland themed escape room. Participants must register, with a limit of 8 persons per time slot (call 748-6160 or stop by the library). More times will become available if all time slots are filled. For ages 10—adult.
Saturday, April 4 | 4:00-6:00 P.M. | Family NERF event (Grades 3 + up with accompanied caregiver)
Join in on this popular after-hours event, open to families for the first time! Space is limited. Call the library at 748-6160 to register, beginning on Friday, March 27. Caregivers must sign up and participate with their children in this team-oriented adventure. Limit of 3 children per guardian.
The library will supply a cache of darts for everyone to use during the event. B.Y.O.B. (bring your own unmodified, dart-style blaster) if you have one! A small number of NERF blasters will be available for participants to borrow. Please arrive early to sign waivers with a legal guardian. Doors are locked at 4:00 P.M. Waivers will be available beginning Friday, March 27. Guardian must be present to sign. Waivers will not be handed out to underage participants.
