Trial Scheduled For FDL Attempted Murder Suspect

A three-day jury trial has been scheduled in Fond du Lac County court for a 45-year-old Fond du Lac man who allegedly beat a neighboring apartment dweller with a pole last May. The trial for Cyrus Elworth starts June 10th. He is facing attempted murder charges. The neighbor initially called police when Elworth took items from his apartment. According to the criminal complaint months later when the victim was leaving his apartment Elworth hit him with a wooden pole in the back of the head and continued to strike him with it. The victim fought back and managed to escape believing if he didn’t he was going to die.
