Man Who Allegedly Injured Oshkosh Police Officer Charged

The 29-year-old Milwaukee man who injured an Oshkosh Police officer has been charged. Cash bond was set at $5,000 when Cornelius Pearson made his initial appearance in Winnebago County court yesterday on charges stemming from the incident in the 1800 block of Robin Avenue Tuesday. He was trying to enter an apartment that wasn’t his. When officers tried to take him into custody Pearson allegedly choked a 30-year-old police officer causing soft tissue damage to the neck. He was charged with resisting arrest substantial bodily harm, marijuana possession second offense, and obstructing an officer. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 17th.
