The Kohler Company has gotten past a major obstacle in its plans to convert nearly 250 acres of land adjacent to Kohler Andrae State Park in Sheboygan County into a golf course. Last Friday the State Supreme Court sided with the District Court that the City of Sheboygan did not err when it annexed land from the Town of Wilson. Battle Over Prescription Drug Prices
During his State of the Union Speech earlier this month President Trump asked that Congress send him a bill to lower prescription drug prices. A bill that would do that passed out of the Senate Finance Committee last year, but that was as far as it got. House Democrats introduced a bill that would set prices of 50 to 250 prescription drugs, but it didn’t get anywhere with House Republicans. Congressman Glenn Grothman like the president would like to see something done to lower prescription drug prices as well. “I hope they do something on prescription drugs. There was an extreme bill passed that would have probably said no more innovation on prescription drugs, but I hope we get something done there.”

Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $3 for adults with students admitted free. Hours for the gala are from 7 to 8:30 pm.
FDL Dock Spiders Need Host Families
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are looking for host families that would be willing to host some of their players this season. Assistant General Manager Marcus Wiegert says college athletes come in from all over the country to play for the team in the Northwoods League. Families would be required to put players up for about 2 1/2 months. He says they are looking for 25-to-30 families to host players. ” With a host family program what we are looking for is someone who can provide a home that obviously has a bedroom for a player just has kind of enough space and access for the player to kind of hang out during the day for the most part. ” There are benefits for host families including season tickets, discounts at the team store and host family events. In addition to the website those interested in finding out more about being a host family can call 920-907-9833 or can stop by the team offices at the stadium in Fond du Lac.
