The Packers are back on the practice field today as they prepare for Sunday’s divisional playoff game against Seattle at Lambeau Field.  Green Bay had a bye in the Wild Card round while Seattle won at Philadelphia, 17-9.  Left tackle David Bakhtiari said there are parallels between the two teams. He said when comes down to crunch time, both teams find a way to win.  Sunday’s game starts at 5:40 and can be heard on 102.3FM, The Bug.

Ripon College Director of Athletics, Ryan Kane has announced the hiring of Marco Rhein as the the full-time head men’s soccer coach following the completion of an interim season with the Red Hawks. 

Rhein becomes the 14th head coach in a storied program, bringing with him a strong understanding of the culture needed to return to a championship-caliber program, which has won five MWC Championships in its history (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2010). 

In NBA G-League action last night, the Wisconsin Herd won at Fort Wayne, 121-115. With the win, Wisconsin is now a G League-best 12-1 on the road this season. In addition, the Herd have 18 victories on the season, which is the most in the league. After sweeping its three-game road trip, the Herd will return home on Thursday, Jan. 9 to take on the Canton Charge in back-to-back home games. Tip-off against the division rival is set for 7:00 PM CT inside Menominee Nation Arena. 

In the NBA tonight, the Bucks play at Golden State. Milwaukee is coming off a loss Monday night to the Spurs in San Antonio. 

In men’s Big Ten basketball tonight, Illinois (10-5) plays at Wisconsin (9-5). Tipoff is at 8:00. 

The Ripon College men’s basketball team hosts Lawrence University tonight. Ripon is 6-5 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
