The Packers continue to practice for Sunday’s Divisional showdown with the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field. The 13-3 Packers have a number of close games this season that they’ve managed to pull out and head coach Matt LaFleur says his team refuses to quit. Running back Jamaal Williams says it will take teamwork to win against the Seahawks (12-5), who are coming off a road win in the Wild Card round at Philadelphia.
Defensive lineman Tyler Lancaster did not practice Thursday because of illness along with running back Dexter Williams and tight end Mercedes Lewis was given the day off. Fullback Danny Vitale did not participate because of a knee injury.
Sunday’s game starts at 5:40 with the pregame beginning at 3:00. It can be heard on 102.3, The Bug.
Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell has been been given a three-year contract extension through 2023. Counsell was hired to replace Ron Roenicke a month into the 2015 season and has led the Brewers to consecutive postseason appearances for the first time in team history. Milwaukee went 96-67 in 2018, beating the Chicago Cubs in a tiebreaker game for the NL Central title and tying the franchise record for wins. The Brewers reached Game 7 of the NL Championship Series, losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers, then lost to Washington in last year’s NL wild card game.
