He believes Vande Kolk will do a good job. “Matt Vande Kolk is an educated articulate individual, has really good socials skills-high hopes for him. United Way Donations Helps Drug Free Communities
The coordinator of the Ripon Opioid Initiative says the Ripon Area United Way campaign has an important role in funding programs for Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County in the area. Alex Berg says their programs help to educate and prevent drug and alcohol use. She says drug drop off boxes and programs like the student group STAAND at the Ripon High School help to make a difference. “They help us provide different programming and different initiatives that can help us the work that we do with the STAAND students at the Ripon High School whether they want to put on another mock bedroom program or they want to do different campaigns around prescription misuse or alcohol misuse.” She says they also can always use volunteers whether that is to serve on different work groups or to pass out information at summer concerts on the Village Green in Ripon. Of course people can also help them by donating to the Ripon Area United Way campaign too.
