Appleton Man Sentenced For FDL County High Speed Chase

The 21-year-old Appleton man suspected of involving Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies and a State Trooper in a high-speed chase last September has been sentenced to six months in jail and court costs. Last Thursday Ladonaven Brown pleaded “no contest” to eluding an officer and resisting an officer, both charges as a repeater.  According to the criminal complaint Brown lied about his identity when he was stopped for weaving from lane to lane on I-41 l on September 6th.  He took off when the deputy told him he was lying. He allegedly reached speeds up to 107 miles an hour during the pursuit. The deputy was able to identify the registered owner of the vehicle who was Brown’s girlfriend and that the two lived in Appleton where Brown was arrested.
