Ripon Printers has been acquired by another printing company. Walsworth Wednesday announced the acquisition of Ripon Printers, which takes effect on December 31st. The purchase of Ripon Printers will enhance Walsworth’s print manufacturing capabilities, giving customers additional printing, direct mail, fulfillment, and digital communications options. The Ripon Printers plant will remain open and regular production schedules will continue as planned, but will operate under the Walsworth brand beginning January 1st. Donald Walsworth, President of Walsworth, says, “Walsworth and Ripon Printers share a similar history and culture.” After the acquisition, Walsworth’s annual revenue will exceed $200 million. Walsworth is a top-five book printer, a top-19 magazine printer and is the only family-owned printer of yearbooks. Owned by the Lyke family since 1962 Ripon Printers employs 280 people. Terms of the deal were not announced. Walsworth is based out of Marceline, Missouri. Meanwhile the Ripon Commonwealth Press and its affiliated publications are being purchased by the Delta Media Group an affiliate of the O’Rourke Media Group.
