Congressman Grothman On Trade Agreement

Congressman Glenn Grothman is glad to see a new trade agreement with Canada and Mexico is closer to reality. He says President Bill Clinton pushed through a bad NAFTA agreement with Canada and Mexico in the 1990’s, but no president since then was willing to do anything about it until President Trump. He says Trump worked out a better version of the agreement. “I think that agreement even though it was supposed to about Canada and Mexico favored China too much. I think we weren’t able to get as much our agricultural project in Mexico as we’d like. So Donald Trump did go to bat for both the American farmer and American Industry against Canada and Mexico and he got a better deal.” The new agreement was recently passed out of the House by an overwhelming margin.

Ripon Area United Way Campaign Update

He says they can also use good people to serve on the board if they are interested in that. To make a contribution to the United Way campaign send them to P.O. Box 71 in Ripon, 54971 or go to their Facebook page or website.
