Fatal Accident Reported In Waupaca County

A 58-year-old man was killed when the box truck he was driving crossed over the center line and was struck by a semi-truck in Waupaca County Monday morning. Sheriff’s officials say the accident happened at the intersection of State Highway 22 and County Highway QQ in the Town of Dayton at 5:35 am. The box truck was heading south on Highway 22 and crossed over the center line where it was struck by the northbound semi. The box truck driver died at the scene. The 80-year-old man driving the semi was not injured. It was the tenth traffic death in Waupaca County this year compared to six for all of last year.
