The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the driver of a pickup truck that led a Sheriff’s deputy on a short pursuit in the City of Fond du Lac Tuesday night. The driver lost control of the vehicle as it was turning onto West Cotton Street from North Military Road and abandoned the vehicle fleeing on foot. Fond du Lac Police and the State Patrol aided in looking for the driver. The chase lasted about a half-mile. The Sheriff’s Office is trying to confirm the identity of the driver for criminal charges. The deputy tried to stop the pickup for reckless driving just before 9:30 last evening.
