Oshkosh Man Injured In Town Of Ripon Accident

1 November 2019 News

A 45-year-old Oshkosh man was injured in four-vehicle accident on State Highway 44 near Seelig Way in the Town of Ripon early Thursday morning. Town of Ripon Police Captain Howard Stibb says Jeffrey Kubash was heading north when he lost control and drifted across the road. A southbound SUV driven by Eric Berry of Oshkosh tried to avoid Kubash’s car but hit a corner of the car tearing off a portion of the front end. Berry’s SUV ended up in the ditch and engine from Kubash’s car ended up on the road. Two pickup trucks that were also southbound couldn’t stop in time and also hit Kubash’s car. Kubash was taken to Ripon Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The pickups were driven by 61-year-old Ernest Loewenhagen of Ripon and Steven Klagen of Ripon. Kubash was the only one injured in the crash. The accident happened shortly before 1:30 am. It was snowing and roads were slick.
