The Packers are still licking their wounds after a 37-8 loss to the 49ers Sunday night. On Monday, coach Matt LaFleur said they were out schemed by the 49ers
Meanwhile the Packers struggles to stop the San Francisco 49ers defensive front on Sunday night weren’t helped by the absence of starting right tackle Bryan Bulaga. Bulaga injured his right knee in the first quarter and did not return. He tore his ACL two years ago in that same knee. But it looks like he escaped a major injury. ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported late last night that Bulaga avoided a serious injury and could be week to week. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting it is an MCL sprain and an MRI will determine the severity. The 49ers sacked Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers five times in a 37-8 loss on Sunday Night Football.
A U.S. Army reservist from Waupun currently serving in Iraq received a personalized, hand-written letter from Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones. 27-year old Sgt. Kegan Moffitt says the Green Bay Packers sent him a care package to Iraq recently after he wrote to the team expressing his love for all things green and gold. A few weeks after that package arrived in Iraq, a letter arrived at Sgt. Moffitt’s parent’s home in Waupun. In the letter, Jones expresses his love and support for Sgt. Moffitt and thanks him for his service.
“My name is Aaron Jones and I play for the Green Bay Packers. I am writing you because I would like to thank you for your service. You are a true hero,” Jones writes in the beginning. Jones has a special connection to the military. Both of his parents served for decades in the U.S. Army. Jones also hopes to set up a meeting with the Moffitt family when Kegan gets home in the spring. Jones finished the letter by highlighting the team’s high expectations going forward. “And I hope you’re a cheesehead,” he said. “Because this is our year,”

The Phoenix (2-3) buried 13 3-pointers and used a big defensive stop with under 3 seconds left to seal the victory, hitting clutch shots late in the game with their backs against the wall. Five players scored in double-figures for the Phoenix, led by JayQuan McCloud’s 20 points on four made 3s. PJ Pipes also buried four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, also dishing out seven assists. Pipes and McCloud both hit big buckets late, but it was the go-ahead 3-pointer by Kameron Hankerson with 57 seconds left that proved to be the difference maker.
