Bottled Water Available During Boil Water Notice In St. Cloud

19 November 2019 News

Update:

Village of St. Cloud officials say a water boil notice has been lifted. The community in Fond du Lac County issued the notice last Friday when a large leak was detected in the water system lowering pressure to an unsafe level. To avoid possible contaminants in their drinking water residents were asked to use bottled water or boil water for at least a minute before using it for drinking, brushing their teeth, making ice or food preparation. Repairs have been made to the system and the water tested to ensure it’s safe for consumption.

The Village of St. Cloud’s Boil or Bottled Water continues, but village officials are doing something to ease the burden for residents. They are making bottled water available for those who need it. It can be picked up at the Fire Department in the meeting room from 6 to 9 pm. There is a limit of one case per family. The order was issued due to low pressure in the water system. Tap water may be unsafe for drinking, making ice, brushing your teeth and food preparation. Residents should use commercially bottled water or boil tap water for at least one minute before using it.
