A Green Lake Police squad car and dump truck where damaged when a 17-year-old cognitively impaired youth rammed them with a three-quarters ton pickup truck he took Tuesday afternoon. The boy was reported missing and is known to local law enforcement. He frequents the County Highway Department. He took the truck from the highway department and damage to the squad car and dump truck occurred when police were trying to stop him. He eventually became stuck at the end of Hill Street and the truck was disabled by police. The State Patrol is writing up the vehicle crash incidents and the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department will be referring charges of operating without owner’s consent and others. Sheriff’s officials say there was major damage associated with the crashes.
