Winneconne Man Arrested For OWI Following Three Vehicle Crash In FDL

A 33-year-old Winneconne man involved in a three-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac Friday evening has been arrested for his fifth drunken driving offense, with four children in the minivan under the age of 16. The crash involving an SUV, pickup truck, and minivan occurred at the Highway 151 and Interstate 41 interchange. Andrew Schimke was driving the minivan. He and some of the children that were passengers in his minivan were taken to a local hospital for treatment. He failed field sobriety testing.
