Waupun Native And Daughter Killed In Texas

A Waupun native and her 9-month-old daughter were found murdered in Texas Saturday night. Thirty-four-year-old Cody Edmund Dixon of Abilene, Texas was arrested for the murders of his common-law wife Alia Rae Hutchinson and their baby girl Aria Ellen Dixon. Their bodies were found on a county road between Baird and Putnam, Texas. According to the Callahan County Sheriff’s Department Dixon was arrested at a motel in Baird, Texas. According to media reports in Texas a man who tackled Dixon after he head butted an officer said Dixon told him God told him to do it.  Dixon is charged with two counts of capital murder, escape, assault on a police officer, and possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $1.8 million cash. He was also wanted on two out-of-county warrants. Hutchinson graduated from Waupun High School.
